The short answer

There is no Windows version of engine sim apk. It is Android-only. But you can run the Android app on a PC with an Android emulator, and for a sound toy that is actually a decent experience: big screen, real speakers, no battery anxiety.

How to do it

Install any mainstream Android emulator on your PC, sign in with a Google account, and either install the engine sim apk file inside the emulator or sideload the XAPK with an XAPK installer app within the emulator. The download page has the file. Give the emulator at least 4 GB of RAM for smooth audio.

What works well

Sound quality, surprisingly. Your PC speakers or headphones beat any phone speaker, and the big V8s and the W16 finally get the low end they deserve. The throttle and pedals work fine with a mouse, and keyboard mapping (if your emulator supports it) makes shifting genuinely fun.

What does not

Touch feel. The whole app is designed around a finger on a throttle pedal, and a mouse is a clumsier instrument. Multitouch tricks like heel-and-toe are harder without a touchscreen. If your PC has a touchscreen, use it.

Worth it?

For serious listening sessions, yes. For fiddling on the couch, the phone is still king. Either way, start with the real file from the official download.
